So I ordered some polybushings.com mounts for the 86 Daytona since the passenger side one was broke, and the front had some slop in it. But even after installing them it's not right, yet I'm not exactly sure what to do about it. The engine sits level, but the mount bracket is noticeably bent. Suggestions?

Everything is good and tight, I checked it all while I had the mount out. What should I do? This car sat up about 8 years, and I can't recall if it was like that before or not.

That definitely doesn't look right - my stock one's sit just fine (although they are WELL worn). Are you sure you don't have the replacement in upside-down? Is there a chance the engine fell while the mount was out (bending the engine side up)? :dontknow:

The mount is installed correctly, and it looked like that even with the old mount in there. It sat without a transaxle in it for about 7 years, but it was on stands with an old screw style house jack under it so it didn't fall. I have no idea why it's cocked like that. I do have a spare bracket that's still on another engine. do ya reckon I should change the whole assembly or just the outer part that unbolts with the crossbolt & the one up from the bottom?

Looks to me like the bolt in the middle of the mount coming off the engine(which is 2 piece) is missing,it comes from the bottom side and is 18mm I believe. It makes the mount sag and tears up passenger side axles.Stand in front of the car and look at the pass.side of engine if it looks low them then look at the mount I mentioned it will look bent if the bolt is missing ,and its easy to mis believe me.

This bolt?

It's in there, and tight.. both it and the cross bolt. And the engine sits level.. that's what I don't get. :dontknow: Guess I'll try swapping out the outer part of the bracket.

Any word on this yet? I noticed that that bolt mentioned above also looks crooked - it should sit level as well...

Haven't had a chance to even look at it yet. Been swamped. overloaded with work, had a car stolen, just about to pass out from exhaustion. Maybe tomorrow if it's descent & I don't get any work calls.
BTW, if anyone sees a 1968 Lincoln Continental wearing Texas plate 760-KKA let me know.. it got stole at the end of last week.
