I now have a complete set of rear badges for my shelby z. When I bought the car they had been shaved by the previous owner and were nowhere to be found. What i really need is a close up picture of each side, maybe even with a tape measure or ruler showing how far they are in from side of the car and how far up. This has to be from a Shelby Z. I am going to be mounting them and want to be as close as possible to the original location.

Also, has anyone ever re-finished/painted thier emblems? I dont know what they are made out of, but its some sort of soft flexible plastic. What is good to strip the old paint off? I was thinking sandpaper but they seem to soft. Would paint stripper eat away at whatever material they are? I will most likely use a small airbrush kit i have to repaint them, using good paint.
Thanks for any tips.
Kris

What's your email address, I have an 88 shelby Z and a digital camera.
Nice avatar BTW, is that a savannah?

Awsome, thanks for the pics in the email.

And the Avatar pic is a Mangrove Monitor. I was watching him for a friend for a few weeks, and fed him a mouse and took pics. That pic is perfect. Maybe I'll put up a more recent one from last week of my python squeezing a rat so hard its face is almost bursting:shock: lol.

We have a place locally that breeds exotics, and I wanted a Kimberly Rock monitor. I can't spend $600 on one yet though. Ouch!

rock monitors are cool...my g/f has a baby savanah monitor, cant wait till he is 3 feet long and 30+pounds, lol.

Thats actually what i am looking to do for a career...become a herpotologist and study/breed reptiles & amphibians. Maybe start off with breeding programs in the wild, then eventually open up a shop and breed exotics like that. Where are you located, and whats the name of you local shop? I paid $500 for a male ball python that i have and i have a female of the same getetics, so the two should produce all the same offspring...giving me $500-$1000 snakes. (about 20 of them too!) This spring will be my first attemp with breedsing snakes. I have done lots of leopord geckos and chameleons before.

I'm in VA. and if you read Reptiles magazine you may have seen ads for Rare Earth. That's the shop, really high end stuff like albino gila monsters and weird animals like that. My all time favorite is the piebald ball python, followed by the leucistic texas black rat snake.
