Does anyone know if equal length axles were offered on a 3.0 engine? I seem to remember seeing equal length shafts on a Van V-6 but I can't remember if it was a 3.3 or 3.0 ??

Yes, same as the Daytona, Shadows BUT you need the 3.0L specific bearing bracket, different than the 2.2/2.5 bracket.

Great, so the intermediate shaft is the same length, I ony need the support bracket? Where can I possibly find one, Anyone, I will start my search around here (Portland, OR ), but if anyone has an extra bearing support I am interested:salute:http://i153.photobucket.com/albums/s228/2fast2dodge/91ShadowES1.jpg

why do you want an intermediate shaft? they are a point of failure.

What? I have equal length drive shafts in all my turbo's and never suffered a failure, so are you implying the 3.0 would be weaker with the equal length setup opposed to a long- short axle set up. I would like to get away from some of the torque steer I had with my 3.0 5-spd. (90 Lebaron)

TQ steer is more related to a bad alignment.

Good point! I agree that a good part of TQ steer is alignment driven, I guess I have always believed that the factory engineers put the equal lenght shafts on there HD applications because they afforded more torque load and less vuibration, deflection, etc., The amount of torque applied to the outside c/v on the long axle -vs- the short? Am I dreaming?? PS I like all the broken parts, is that your "Hall Of Shame!!" :partyman: A good pic of a common failure

I changed to unequal shafts on my daytona and had LESS torque steer. I'm looking for unequal shafts for my shadow now.
